If you\u2019re new to coding or considering giving it a try, it\u2019s easy to become intimidated when you see how complicated it can be. For those without any coding experience, lines of code on a computer screen might seem like a foreign language. That\u2019s because it is\u2014coding is the language we use to tell computers what to do. Given how complicated it looks, you might feel like you\u2019ll never be able to understand programming languages.

Coding is challenging, especially at first, when you have minimal experience in technology. Many beginners get stuck early on with simple things like syntax errors. Without an understanding of how coding works, it\u2019s even more difficult to determine what went wrong in your code when it refuses to run.

Even when you\u2019re learning an easy language, you can still get stuck at a relatively simple step. Luckily, there are several online resources you can use to help fix errors and get started, such as the JSON HTML Validator<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most important things to do before coding is to make sure you actually understand what you\u2019re trying to do. What are you coding? Why did you choose this language to code with? What are you trying to tell the computer to do? Once you have a grasp of basic questions like these, you\u2019ll be better prepared to understand and address any errors that you might encounter along the way. It\u2019ll also help you write code correctly, as you\u2019ll already know why you follow the coding rules that you do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you\u2019re starting out as a coder, it\u2019s easy to get frustrated and give up. It may take more than one attempt before you start catching on, but each time you fail, you\u2019ll learn something new and improve for the next time around.
