Concordia Bootcamps Review:

Created 3 years ago

As someone who had no prior coding experience, the Concordia Data Science Bootcamp was an intense but incredibly rewarding journey. Over the course of three months, I learned a ton of new theories and practical skills related to Data Science that have been invaluable in starting my new career. The program was mentally challenging, but the instructors and staff were supportive and always available to answer questions or provide extra help. The key to your success in the bootcamps, and any other...See more

Pros

Great way to jumpstart a career in Data Science or IT, especially for those with no prior coding experience

Cons

The three-month timeline is relatively short, so it can be difficult to fully absorb all the information presented.

Worst Data Science Bootcamp

Concordia Bootcamps Review:

Created 3 years ago

The teachers at this data science bootcamp seriously lack education and experience. It's clear that the assignments and materials are simply copied and pasted from well-known books and resources. After we graduated, they barely sent us a few events, but for the rest of the six months, they provided us with absolutely nothing. Sadly, the success rate of finding a job related to the field in my cohort is less than 10 percent, and none of the successful individuals had any help from the bootcamp...See more

Pros

The only good thing was one of the instructors who was excellent, but unfortunately, they decided to quit at the end of the semester after witnessing this chaotic situation.

Cons

Almost everything.

Pricey, but useful

A good start to get an entry-level position. For people without former experience in programming, the course is very intensive and difficult, and there will likely be roadblocks. For people with a bit of programming knowledge, it will give you the skills needed to build a full-stack website on your own. The post-graduate services are good to set up your resume/CV, prepare for interviews, and start networking. The course is only a starting point, and it won't give you a free job. It gives you...See more

Pros

Good for understanding the major aspects of web development. Friendly staff and promotes socializing with classmates.

Cons

A very intensive way to learn programming from the start, and not great for complete beginners to programming. A lot of beginners had trouble keeping up with the course load. Some unprofessional and rude remarks from instructors.
