I am a career changer and was looking for a boot camp where I could get project experience to put on my resume. I had the opportunity to develop website for a company that was using AI for generating news articles using data sets.

Pros

Get actual experience working for a startup company. Awesome leadership and helpful resources.

Cons

A lot of self learning is required. Not easy to get a job offer after the boot camp. No training for coding interviews.

I went to SI, convinced by their COO, Peggy Yu, that I'll be guaranteed a job by the program ended (Although I should've seen the red flag when she asked for cash instead of credit up front). Some of our colleagues and I were abused/harassed by the staff and they made a couple of us as examples by hijacking interviews we had with other companies in order to try and keep us in line.
