Life-changing education and door opener.

starstarstarstarstar
Pros
- A wealth of information and knowledge, in the course room and on the job hunt - Outcomes program, they won't guarantee you a job, but they do everything short of that and that is huge. Take their criticism with grace and humility, and learn how to not fit the mold of employers, but make yourself more marketable. They know what they're doing. Trust them! - Great facilities, great extracurricular events - Excellent alumni network and others who want to help you succeed
Cons
- This is not for everyone. The people I saw succeed were thirsty, curious, and humble enough to ask for help and not get stuck on problems longer than necessary. Do not carry any preconceived notions in, learn, learn, and learn more and better yourself.
Amazing learning experience, great help online and in-person whenever you needed it. Be prepared to be challenged, and be prepared to work hard. Worki ...arrow

A Fun Experience

starstarstarstarstar
Pros
Enjoyable experience, awesome instructors, time set apart for "Job Hacking", social, focus on keyboard shortcuts to code faster and more efficient, overall very professionally executed bootcamp with an intelligent curriculum. Like everything that was taught was taught for a reason and it made sense.
Cons
Very expensive, coding in general can be stressful and annoying but at the same time very rewarding when you get past the problem

Amazing Bootcamp Experience! Very Satisfied!

starstarstarstarstar
Pros
Learning the algorithms, the way it works, and how to implement it really added a huge value, because I was able to walk into meetings with non-IT folks and explain data science fluently. DSD helped my data science become my language. DSD is very affordable and not as time consuming as the other, much longer bootcamps.
Cons
No career assistance, but I've also heard from other friends that career coaches aren't that useful because at the end of the day it really boils down to the individual. I also feel that the program was a little too short, one week was virtual and the other week was in person, I wish both weeks were in person.
I attended DSD in Summer 2017 right after my high school graduation, I had a pretty good fundamental understanding of data science and the R language. ...arrow

NuCamp Web Development Fundamentals Review

starstarstarstarstar
Pros
1. Affordable 2. Built for working professionals, who cannot take time off, for a full immersion course. 3. Friendly 4. Up to date, streamlined material.
Cons
1. I am unsure of the job support that NuCamp provides, but you cannot get a job with the Web Development Fundamentals course, anyways. I will find out more, at the end of the Full Stack course. I think there primary focus is networking, rather than job placement counselors. But the affordability and targeting to working professionals, override any potential cons.
So I have an Associates as a Software Developer and a separate 45 credit certificate as a Computer Support Specialist. I have been working in Hardware ...arrow
