I had wanted to get into programming for a little while, and my cousin recommended checking out Hack Reactor. I took the entry exam and failed the first time but the second time I managed to score high enough. Next came the precourse which was also pleasantly frustrating and challenging. Again, I had to defer due to a personal issue. Afterward, I made it into the program and immediately began drinking from the firehose. We covered the basics in 2-day pair sprints and as soon as I started...
Pros
My instructors were incredibly helpful and available throughout every phase of the program. When I thought I wouldn't make it, they set me on the right track. There is no hand holding though, the idea is to learn how to use documentation...
Cons
It's expensive, but the returns are pretty obvious as well.

I thought my transitioning to data analytics was going to be difficult but thanks to springboard they made it easier than I expected although it was overwhelming and interesting. And yes the career coaching was excellent.
Pros
There was unlimited access to different mentors calls when I get stuck at anytime of the day.
Cons
Everything was fine other than the python unit which was a lot more difficult. I guess it’s because I had no experience with programming. A one on one class would have been preferable for this unit.
