I want to start by saying that I believe codecore is the best option for those looking to enter into a career in web development. As a graduate, my opinion may be considered as biased, but I would strongly recommend those who doubt it to attend demo days at codecore and competing bootcamps. - Plenty of support from instructors and TAs - Attention is paid to explaining how things work, not just how to do them

Cons

- Not necessarily a con, but you get out what you put in. Those who didn’t work hard and stay late didn’t find jobs.

I attended this particular web development bootcamp because I had heard they had the most focus on the technical skills to become a web developer and it was the cheapest of the bootcamp options in Vancouver. Some of the other bootcamps do spend more time on resume/networking/job hunting skills but I wanted to focus myself fully on improving myself as a developer. -I think the bootcamp should be 6 months long to realistically have a higher success rate and spend a bit more time on the marketting yourself/job hunting phase. -Otherwise not too many cons (Best option of the 3 month bootcamps)

Start with the basics then dive deep with hands-on training and guidance. Learn how to make more by making a web application which stores information and interacts with your visitors by learning part-time in 5 weeks. This course covers an introduction to programming fundamentals starting with brief theory on programming basics and building websites. It is structured to give you a strong foundation to utilize programming in your career. At the end of the course, students will be able to create simple applications using JavaScript and Firebase. HTML & CSS Basics Students will learn the basics of styling using HTML & CSS including: tags, typography, navigation, form creation, classes & IDs, as well as a brief intro of Bootstrap. JavaScript & jQuery Basics Students will learn programming fundamentals using JavaScript covering: variables, functions, flow control, arrays, objects, interaction with webpages, and integrating jQuery. Firebase Basics Students will learn how to persist, store, and retrieve data using Firebase, as well as simple user authentication.
