It's a right place if you want to start your software engineer career because Hacktiv8 has good quality sylabus and instructor. But, be ready to be stressed out because you will be pushed beyond your limit.

Pros

you understand end to end to build a web/app.. because they will teach both backend and frontend

Cons

lack of CS fundamental (data structure, big O notation, etc)

I had no experience on coding prior to joining HACTIV8, upon graduated I have the knowledge to be full-stack developer (though I like server side more). And I don't need to wait too long to get myself employed as a developer.

Pros

Intensive training, up to date technology

Cons

Sometimes it's too noisy, lack of senior field experienced trainer

Hacktiv8 coding school provides not only up to dates curriculum but also many exercises that help me to overcome how to write code who previously don’t have IT background. In this place, we had learned a lot of concept and did various challenge to improve our skill as a developer

Pros

Challenges or exercises from hacktiv8 school are really helpful for us to understand the concept and design a code. Moreover all instructors lead the students very well

Cons

Due to a lot of assignment sometimes some students had to use their weekend to code
