I loved my time at Makers bootcamp! I hardly knew any code before Makers, only a bit of Ruby that we needed to learn before joining. The curriculum covers a vast amount with exciting group projects, and is mainly self led learning and pair programming. The experience after finishing the course and joining the careers bootcamp was AMAZING!! You receive loads of support, and they are there to support you until you find a job! I can't thank Makers enough for helping me with this career change and...
Pros
Curriculum and career support.
Cons
More workshops during the course.

If you are looking to change careers, joining Makers is the best decision you can make. Makers' holistic approach to coding helps you build healthy habits that not only make you a better developer but also improve your health and wellbeing. The 12 week course is very intense, but is such a fun experience that gives you a preview of what working in the tech industry is like. You join the course with very limited coding knowledge, and graduate being able to create applications and websites that...
Pros
Good curriculum and learn concepts such as TDD and pair programming. Very much self led learning. You learn to work at your own pace and still get the job done. Job hunting Team is very useful and there are a number of hiring partners.
Cons
Learning to create and keep a structure once the course ends, but this is where the use of resources provided by the Job Hunting team comes into play.

I attended Makers, starting the bootcamp in March 2020 (just as the Pandemic hit). Makers managed to transfer the bootcamp to be an online course which was really great and fostered a strong online community in our cohort. I had spent about a year learning Ruby ahead of the course starting as I tried to get as good a grounding as possible but the amount the course taught me I think would've taken at least a couple of years to reach on my own.
Pros
I loved the meditation every day and the holistic approach to the course gave me a really good mindset for appropriating coding problems. I also loved out bootcamp mentor and my placement coach Carina who went out of their way to make sure...
Cons
Course was online because of Covid but honestly I think that was a plus
