Cons

I recently graduated from the Data Science bootcamp and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The content was really updated, instructors are there for you in every aspect and you can see they really enjoy teaching. Contents are taught very clear and projects are very realistic. You end up with a global overview of the Data Science world but also with specific and technical knowledge, also job orientation classes were really useful.
Pros
The course is divided in different modules, from the basic knowledge to the more specific ones. Then you assure having the necessary knowledge before learning new things.
Cons
I did the course remotely, despite it’s easy when you can’t assist to a class, as you can see it later in recording, it’s difficult to do networking with the other colleagues.

Very complete content, but then on your own.

Talking about the Data Science Master content, I can say it's pretty complete. It covers lots of cases with it's analisis and different ML applications, even Deep. Teachers are very good professionals, and most of them helpful and available after hours. It is in Spanish or English, the better price I found on the market in Bcn, and with a good schedule for those who work. And
Pros
We could go even during the pandemic.
Cons
Ones you've finished that's it. No follow ups.

In general, I liked the experience in Nuclio with the master of design and user experience. I have been able to meet new people from different work environments and ages, the teachers were very good and they always had something to tell about their experience, you could ask anything you wanted without problem. I really recommend it, in my case I am an android programmer and I wanted to know a little more about this area and in interviews they have already asked me what the experience was like...
Pros
Very good instructors Meet new people Learn how to do a good research Learn Figma
Cons
Multiple times classroom change Sometimes bad wifi conexion One of the final projects was very awful but aproved

The bootcamp is totally worth the money, the teachers put lot of effort in their classes. The course consists in applying the theory of the classes to a final project that is done in groups. The project is started from the beginning, the students have to solve a real problem with a digital product using design thinking. The bootcamp is quite focused on UX research, even though there is also UX and UI design parts. One of the reasons why I choose this bootcamp was because the competitors were...
Pros
One of the best experiences is being able to test the prototypes with real users that the school searches for you (with the requirements you tell them). The teachers are incredible, specially Arnau Ortiz, Roger Espona, Jordi Lloret, Adrián...
Cons
The class where figma was taught could have been better as people that never used the tool felt a bit lost. Sometimes there were wifi problems. One of the things I did not like was the pressure to enroll. They used aggressive marketing...

I'm absolutly fan of this bootcamp, I knew a great teachers, and the most important, I learned all the Javascript environment, and I toke a global vision of the programming topic, all of frontend and backend, and how to link them.
Pros
The experience, the classes, the teachers and the environment, It was my best student experience.
Cons
Probably, that it was a little bit short, only 4 months. When it finished it was sad for me.

Prior to enrolling it was meant to assist to get a job with the current curriculum, the selling was quick but then very unrelated once inside. The group was way too big, with VERY different levels which required teachers to adjust and slow down, creating frustration in some students with better starting skills. It was clearly a bigger group than usual just to get more money from it. Only a few got a related job and most of the students were disappointed at the end.
Pros
Teachers put a lot of effort and attention to help the students individually, they did everything in their hands.
Cons
·No real assistance prior to enrolling on which would be the best course for each of us (I knew nothing in tech so that would have been helpful and I would have gotten into something different). The salesperson is not that helpful for this...

This School helped me to have a very competitive profile because the whole bootcamp is focused on learning a stack of frameworks and languages (MERN) that nowadays are very demanded by the companies. Since day one they challenge your adaptability and give you a series of precourses so you can start coding since day one
Pros
The stack you will learn is very competitive and demanded by the companies. They also provide career and talent seminars where you can decide which path to take, either as an Entrepreneur or a Job Seeker (which I took) and have amazing...
Cons
It lasts only 4 months. With 2 more months you could end up with even more solid knowledge to start working

Nuclio Digital School has a lot of professionals that show you all about the laboral reality. What do yo need to know? What the companies search?. In the bootcamp of UX/UI Designer, you will do the entire Design Thinking process, from a UX Researcher to a UI Designer. You have a big experience.
Pros
You talk with the teachers all the time. You can call them for a personal or groupal mentoring and they help you throughout the process.
Cons
It is often necessary to insist to receive feedback. You work with other people you don't know. It would be better if you had more time to meet with your team and integrate with them.

Learn by doing, listening from the real professionals is always better than learning reading and memorising contents.
Pros
What I appreciated the most was having real professionals as teachers.
Cons
The school campus and installations were the worst of the experience.

The School is offering a lot of courses without the resources to do so. They claim that you can follow the course online whenever you want...and then all they have is a laprop camera recording the whole classrom, with noises, no editing, no shared content on full screen...just a distant image of what they are showing in class, it's ridiculous that a Digital School offers this poor service on onloine classes...but that is just how they work, they spend all the money on Marketing Ads to catch you...
Pros
*Some good professionals explain they day to day experiences. But that is the 10% of the course.
Cons
*Course Programm inexistent *Online classes are just a camera filming a regular class *They do not offer content to follow the course *Clearly no experience in organising courses

Who started Career Karma?

Created 2 years ago

So Career Karma was started by Artur, Ruben and myself out of our own struggles career transitioning into Tech. Our journey took place in 2014-2015 and if it wasn't for the three of us doing it together we wouldn't be here today. Once we got our high paying jobs in tech and I was working as a Software Engineer ... I say an incredible opportunity for others like me who were trying to learn how to code on their own but failing to complete their transition. Three years into us...

How do you successfully pass the technical interviews for Flatiron and Hack Reactor (Software Engineering and Cyber Analytics) ?

Created 1 year ago

Good question. They are very different so I would recommend doing prep courses for both to try it out. However, then decide which specialty you're most interested in and go for those technical interviews. In preparation, definitely complete the prep course. The next steps for you should be to ask the admissions officer about the type of questions that are going to be on the technical interviews. What resources do they recommend you review to get accepted? What they think will...
