Life-changing. I graduated in 2016 and have been working as a software engineer ever since. I was hired within a week of graduating. The skills they taught me have been the underpinnings for everything I've learned since. My career leap has paid the cost of the camp back many times over.

Pros

The faculty are very engaged. They aren't just in it for the money, they genuinely care about your success in the camp and after.

Cons

I went through the first class offered by Awesome U. and they didn't have all the kinks in the curriculum worked out. From what I've heard from graduates of more recent classes they've since solved those issues.

Awesome Inc delivered on every one of their promises they made. I received quality instruction for three months, was provided job placement services, and finally landed a role as a web developer. The small class size was an advantage but the instructors were not excellent teachers. They were adequate teachers but training/teaching was not their career. - Small class, lots of 1:1 instruction - Helpful job placement services given until you're finally hired - Inexpensive compared to large bootcamps in San Francisco or NYC

Cons

- Ok not great instructors - Strange choice of languages used in relation to job availability in KY - Inexpensive but still overpriced

Great start if you have the determination but not a golden ticket
