About CodeBoxx

CodeBoxx is a bootcamp with locations in the US, Canada, and online. CodeBoxx programs teach students coding, full stack development, artificial intelligence, and cyber security. CodeBoxx online programs offer the same subjects as on-site programs. CodeBoxx reviews highlight students' particular appreciation for CodeBoxx payment options. CodeBoxx deferred tuition allows students to enroll in and finish courses before having to pay for them. Students aren’t expected to pay for their programs until they've been hired in a relevant field. Even at that point, students are only expected to pay a certain percentage of their annual income. This payment arrangement eliminates the need for a CodeBoxx scholarship. CodeBoxx also has a job placement agency that features students’ profiles for potential employers to view. Companies like eBay, Fungo, Lucky Brand, and CyberCat have found employees through it. That, combined with the CodeBoxx bootcamp prep and main programs fully prepare students for tech careers.

The program is hard. They simulate a real work environment with all the pressures that it includes. The coaches are mostly helpful. Be prepared to give up on sleep, to cry, dream about code and give up on social like for the 4 months
Pros

Cons
Not every coach is supportive and requires serious time commitment for the duration of the program

I have a restaurant and entrepreneurship background, I am now a full time sofware developer at Coveo, one of the most promising tech company in the world, specializing in providing relevency through AI. I am already a well respected member of my team, I love my work and the pay is very, very nice. Two years ago from now, I began the Codeboxx training in Québec city. I went all in. And I dare to say that this wasn't easy, but the reward is great now. At the Codeboxx bootcamp, I learned to use...
Pros
Beside a security deposit to make sure I was serious enough to undertake the training. I did not pay a dime before getting a job. I learned frontend technologies, backend technologies, workflow technologies... All this in an environment...
Cons
Its hard. You will swear, you will sweat, you will dream about code.

During the Bootcamp we develop a complete information system for a small company looking to expand their business. We connect to multiple databases and apply different solutions to integrate the main website (Rails), a portal only for customers (C#), a REST API and a mobile application (React Native). We learn different topics such as Web Cloud services, AI, Machine Learning and Blockchain. We even learn how to create an Ubuntu instance with NGinx to deploy our final website. We are exposed...
Pros
If you don't find work after the course finishes, they guarantee you a job (for 1 year) at the end of the Bootcamp and you start paying only 6 months after the Codeboxx has a digital workshop that starts and develops projects frequently...
Cons
The downside of the guaranteed job is that when the course ends they don’t give you a deadline for the job with the workshop begins. They will try to place the students within their partner companies, and in the meantime, they will call...

The effort you gonna give through the training will make you surely strong because it's not an ordinary school but a bootcamp, and that means that you have to be high in all and get the best. It's was an amazing experience and sometimes I wanted to quite quickly but I've overcome my doubt, my fear and give more. The coach's are very good and they are present all along to give you all support that you need and best team works too.
Pros
You learn more technology that allows you abord some others technology easily because you do more algorithms.
Cons

Morale, health, my relationship with my loved ones, to name a few, have suffered from my inaction. I have been looking for a career change for some time when I heard about CodeBoxx bootcamp. CodeBoxx Courses and Curriculum

CodeBoxx courses primarily cover coding fundamentals, full stack web development, artificial intelligence, and cyber security. Students begin with the CodeBoxx bootcamp prep course, referred to as Genesis. Students have to pass this two-week course before they can move onto the 14-week Odyssey program, during which students should expect to commit to 50 hours of learning per week.

Students who pass the Odyssey program can begin the job search process. At this point, they’re also eligible for the specialized programs in artificial intelligence or cyber security. Students who are interested in the 10-week specialized programs will need to submit new applications. CodeBoxx online and on-site programs are identical, allowing students to opt for at-home learning without compromising on their education.

Who started Career Karma?

Created 1 year ago

So Career Karma was started by Artur, Ruben and myself out of our own struggles career transitioning into Tech. Our journey took place in 2014-2015 and if it wasn't for the three of us doing it together we wouldn't be here today. Once we got our high paying jobs in tech and I was working as a Software Engineer ... I say an incredible opportunity for others like me who were trying to learn how to code on their own but failing to complete their transition. Three years into us...

How do you successfully pass the technical interviews for Flatiron and Hack Reactor (Software Engineering and Cyber Analytics) ?

Created 1 year ago

Good question. They are very different so I would recommend doing prep courses for both to try it out. However, then decide which specialty you're most interested in and go for those technical interviews. In preparation, definitely complete the prep course. The next steps for you should be to ask the admissions officer about the type of questions that are going to be on the technical interviews. What resources do they recommend you review to get accepted? What they think will...

CodeBoxx FAQs

How Much Is CodeBoxx Tuition and Cost?

CodeBoxx bootcamps cost between $5,475 for specialized programs and roughly $7,830 for the 16-week full stack development program. The full stack development program is broken up into two parts. Students who don’t pass the first part are not obligated to pay CodeBoxx tuition. Students who can’t afford the CodeBoxx price for programs can choose a payment option.

What Is the CodeBoxx Acceptance Rate?

The CodeBoxx acceptance rate is 100% because the school has an open enrollment policy. Regardless of skill level or experience, all students can join the full stack development program. However, students are required to pass the two-week Genesis program to continue with the 16-week bootcamp. Students who don’t pass Genesis are not permitted to continue.

CodeBoxx states that out of all the students who enroll in the program, approximately 70% continue onto the rest of the 16-week program. The 30% that don’t continue either didn’t pass Genesis or decided the tech field is not for them. Regardless, students who don’t pass that two-week phase don’t need to pay tuition fees.

How Can I Pay for CodeBoxx?

You can pay for CodeBoxx through one of multiple payment options. CodeBoxx payment options include the following:

  • Upfront payment
  • Deferred tuition
  • Loan financing

How Do I Apply to CodeBoxx?

The CodeBoxx application process has several steps. As CodeBoxx has an open enrollment policy, it’s not hard for students to get in. To apply to CodeBoxx, follow the steps below:

  1. Thoroughly read through the program description, along with any associated FAQs.
  2. Complete the registration form and choose if you want to participate online or on-site.

  4. Complete the quizzes.
  5. Finish the exercises.
  6. Sign the contract.
  7. Watch the information session.
  8. Choose your payment method.

Students who apply for specialized programs will be required to participate in an interview with the CodeBoxx admissions team. Additionally, unlike the full stack development program, students who apply for the specialized cyber security or artificial intelligence programs are required to have successfully completed the full stack development program, first.

How Do I Get Accepted into CodeBoxx?

CodeBoxx accepts all students. However, only those with enough motivation, determination, and perseverance will be able to finish its demanding coding bootcamp. Before applying, make sure you are fully committed to spending an average of 50 hours learning, per week. To get into specialized programs, you need to complete the full stack development program.

What CodeBoxx Interview Questions Should I Expect?

The interview is only required of students who are applying for the cyber security or artificial intelligence specialized programs. Students who enroll in the full stack development program do not need to attend an interview.

During the CodeBoxx interview for the specialized programs, the admissions team will be aiming to ensure students fully understand what will be expected of them. In addition, CodeBoxx uses this opportunity to screen the qualifications of the applicants. As long as you successfully complete the full stack program, you will be prepared for the interview.
