The codeworks boot camp was a very demanding and challenging one. However I am glad I did it as I gained experiences that I never would of had I continued trying to learn code by myself (writing full stack applications, working in groups on projects etc). The best part is that after the course finished I was able to get a job within a month, and this was with applying during the Christmas / New Year period.
Pros
You can open he’ll requests if you get stuck and get one to one help within minutes, if not seconds. You have a personal tutor who you can to for support, whether that is technical or emotional. Get to work in groups and gain experience...
Cons
Some content is introduced (such as DevOps) with a very broad and general approach, just so you understand what it is. However for me personally if I was to be asked to do this in a job, I still couldn’t say I could.

I got everything they promised

Besides that my general experience was great, I think the most important things are the facts or the end result, what I mean with that is if at the end you get everything they promised you or you get what it's really important to you. For me that was, learn enough to be able to work as a developer or junior developer, get a good job as a developer and a competitive salary. At least for me, and my colleges all that was fulfilled so I'm extremely happy with the end results of this bootcamp.
Pros
I achieved all that for me was important.
Cons
It's expensive, and a good preparation before going can be really helpful.

Codeworks Admissions Process

What Is the Codeworks Admission Process?

The Codeworks admissions process has multiple steps, starting with an online application form on the Codeworks official website that asks for basic information, such as your name and email address.

  1. After filling out the form, you’ll get an email link to complete an admissions assessment. Once someone from Codeworks reviews your assessment, two things could happen next. If you pass the test, you will be contacted about the next stages of the application process. If you fail the test, you can retake it.
  2. After completing the test, your first interview will involve talking about Codeworks, your background, and why you want to attend the bootcamp.
  3. The second interview is a technical interview that tests your knowledge of programming, your problem-solving skills, and your understanding of coding concepts.
  4. If you pass the two interviews, you will then qualify for a coding challenge where you will be given an assignment and a deadline.
  5. If you are successful in the coding challenge, you will be accepted into the school.

To pass through the tests successfully, it is advised that you take Codeworks' prep course on JavaScript, which is completely free. This will equip you with the knowledge needed to complete the tests and increase your chances of acceptance. The entire Codeworks admissions process takes about six weeks on average.

  3. Applicants are then subjected to a second, more technical Codeworks interview, which tests their programming abilities and problem-solving skills.
  4. If Codeworks reviews your overall interview performance and gives you a passing grade, you will complete a final coding challenge that has a strict deadline.
