I did the frontend bootcamp starting in January 2022, I did not complete but stoped taking the course after 8 weeks as I felt coding wasn't for me. I'm writing this review as it's hard to get accurate info what you can expect from the bootcamp. Take this into account that I have the perspective of someone who only did 8 out of 24 weeks and 95% of students who finish the course have jobs and seems pleased with the course as the demand for developers are higher than the supply.
Pros
If you finish you'll get a job that has better salaries and benefits than most industries and you get there in only 6 months. It's highly compressed and you get a snippet of the most relevant tools needed for a frontend developer. You'll...
Cons
The problem with frontend bootcamps is that you need to compress what other courses teach you in two years into 24 weeks at 50% pace. I had almost no prior experience of coding, in my group only 2 out of 8 had coded before. I would suggest...

It was truly an intense time, but so much fun!
Pros
To learn so much in such little time, I mean, you can learn how to drive in 2 weeks, why can’t you learn how to code in 3 months?
Cons
No cons, it’s super fun and learn how to code is the best experience ever!

Great!

It was a great experience and a great way to learn faster. I hadn't code anything before the bootcamp. Now I think I'm ready to find a junior position
Pros
Learned fast, a lot of project, will help you find job interviews, group project, good teachers.
Cons
Quite hard to work and study at least for me.

Great support and content of high quality

The bootcamp format has given me a rollercoster-like experience, both emotionally and work wise. The possibility to combinate work with studies suited me very well and also to be done in only 24 weeks.
Pros
The remote and half time format.
Cons
If you need help you need to claim it. Nobody knows if you struggle if you don’t say anything.

I couldn't choose better

The Program is great. You are learning by doing, and the projects are very close to real-life cases meet in the day-to-day developer work. Every project has a few stages of completion. If you have a very hard time at work you can finish only a base part. If you want to learn much more you can complete the stretch goals, and you can create functionalities on top of it by yourself. Teachers will deep-dive on it too and asses it to give you a lot of feedback full of suggestions about how you can...
Pros
-Great teachers who are professional programmers. -You learn the newest technologies. -You will learn the agile workflow using technics like scrum and kanban, and how to use tools like Trello, Slack, Stack Overflow and Git/Github. -Great...
Cons
Can't find any.

An excellent course that I highly recommend. This course gives a great mix of projects, useful techs and the instructors are super helpful and competent.
Pros
Every week we build a new project focusing on the latest technologies in JavaScript and React. The lectures are awesome and the teachers are inspiring.
Cons
I have not found any downside of the course.

Great course, very intense and high paced.
Pros
The meetups was the most fun, and sharing the knowledge with class, helping eachother out.
Cons
The high pace. Even tho I was ready for it, the high pace was brutal.

Intense and fun, though at times but you always have the opportunity to book 1:1's with teachers and you always have the support from your teammates. New project, lectures and code-alongs each week. We also practice stand ups and demo with team mates remote each week.
Pros
Well structured, you get to learn the latest tech and the overall experience so far is good.
Cons
For me, diving into this bootcamp with absolute zero experience of coding, it's quite though at times. It's a part time, 50%, bootcamp. But it's more like 100% 24/7 for me. So if you plan to take this course part time and work part time,...

This boot camp was the most fun experience I ever had in my life. Super challenging but I can’t describe in words the amazing feeling when accomplish assignments.
Pros
I really enjoyed working with react and all of our react projects.
Cons
Maybe that I would like to have more time for the projects.

Who started Career Karma?

Created 2 years ago

So Career Karma was started by Artur, Ruben and myself out of our own struggles career transitioning into Tech. Our journey took place in 2014-2015 and if it wasn't for the three of us doing it together we wouldn't be here today. Once we got our high paying jobs in tech and I was working as a Software Engineer ... I say an incredible opportunity for others like me who were trying to learn how to code on their own but failing to complete their transition. Three years into us...

How do you successfully pass the technical interviews for Flatiron and Hack Reactor (Software Engineering and Cyber Analytics) ?

Created 2 years ago

Good question. They are very different so I would recommend doing prep courses for both to try it out. However, then decide which specialty you're most interested in and go for those technical interviews. In preparation, definitely complete the prep course. The next steps for you should be to ask the admissions officer about the type of questions that are going to be on the technical interviews. What resources do they recommend you review to get accepted? What they think will...
