I am writing this review because I was scammed by NYU Cybersecurity Bootcamp. First, the name is a fraud. NYU does not consider you apart of their community if you complete the bootcamp. ThriveDX is the organization that handles everything. When the counselor calls you, the caller ID states NYU. That is a lie. This leads me to the second vent of this post. You are lied to and told that Tuition Assistance Payments are accepted. If you have an employer that pays for your schooling, then...
Pros
You meet pleasant people and you can grow your network in the field. You get a quick foundation on major areas in Cybersecurity and can see where your strongest area is and build on it. However, just enroll in a degree program.
Cons
There is a lot of smoke and mirrors. NYU is just a name and will not consider you apart of their community. As a result, tuition assistance does not apply because ThriveDX is not an accredited school. I am not sure about tuition...

Have to admit their recruitment team tells you everything you want to hear. Was told that we would be doing labs in class, playing red team blue team on weekends (one part of the class attacks while the other half defends). Was also told that this course would be enough to get a job in the field and boy were they wrong. We were told by instructors that all labs should be done on our own and if they did demonstrate it, they would do it really fast and then tell students to go back to the...
Pros
Briefly introduces you to some core concepts. Some instructors will spend 1 on 1 time.
Cons
Very generic content Very expensive for the experience you receive Doesn't even cover certs Class isn't enough to get a job in cybersecurity All work that was promised to be done in class ends up being a "you" problem
