Also, students learn negotiation techniques and how to update their resume and online presence. The curriculum, which is the same across all Galvanize campuses, is designed to prepare students for a job.
Galvanize makes career support a central part of its web development course. Week 12 of the program focuses on helping students kickstart their job search.
Galvanize teaches students how to develop an effective study plan to ensure they can master the skills they need for their desired positions. The bootcamp also assists students in creating a daily schedule to hold them accountable. Students are also encouraged to write resumes and cover letters with the help of the Galvanize team and cultivate its online presence through platforms such as LinkedIn and AngelList.
Additionally, Galvanize web development bootcamp students learn about how to choose the right companies to apply to, learn about the application lifecycle, and understand how to present their best selves when they’re looking for a job.

The Galvanize web development course offers three methods of payment: upfront payment, Income Share Agreements, and student loans. The terms offered by these payment methods are:
- Upfront: $17,980;
- Income Share Agreement: 10% of your monthly income for 48 months. If you’re not earning over $50,000 per year, payments pause, Galvanize forgives the ISA after 48 monthly payments, when the contract expires, or when you reach the payment cap of 1.75x tuition for the web development program. Galvanize requires a $2,000 deposit from students who finance their education with an ISA.
- Loan: Galvanize partnered with Climb Credit and Skills Fund to offer student loans to students.
Galvanize offers full-tuition scholarships to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who enroll in its web development or data science programs. Applicants must meet a series of requirements to be eligible for a scholarship. In addition, veterans may be eligible for G.I. Bill funding for their bootcamp education.
Galvanize reports its outcomes to the Council on Integrity in Results Reporting, an independent organization that verifies student outcomes post-graduation. Here are the outcomes for its H2 2018 programs:
- Austin: 82.4% of graduates were employed within 180 days of graduation. Those graduates earned a median salary of $75,000.
- New York City: 73.8% of graduates were employed within 180 days of graduation. Those graduates earned a median salary of $95,000.
- San Francisco: 66.5% of graduates were employed within 180 days after graduation. Graduates earned a median salary of $115,000.
- Los Angeles: 63.4% of graduates were employed within 180 days after graduation. Those graduates earned a median salary of $70,000.
- Remote, Full-Time: 74.7% of graduates were employed within 180 days of completing the program. Graduates earned a median salary of $85,000.
- Remote, Part-Time: 52% of graduates were employed within 180 days of graduation. Graduates commanded a median salary of $61,200.
Galvanize uses a four-stage admissions process to evaluate prospective students. Here are the steps involved in the Galvanize web development application process:
- Step 1: Submit a written application online;
- Step 2: Begin a technical prep course to prepare for the bootcamp;
- Step 3: Complete a coding challenge to evaluate your technical skills;
- Step 4: Complete the Galvanize Technical Admissions Assessment to measure whether you’re ready for the course.
If you successfully complete the technical admissions assessment, you’ll hear back from an Enrollment Officer within two business days regarding whether you have been admitted into the bootcamp.
