The Jill H. Mays scholarship offers $5,000 off tuition to all women who apply to Sabio’s coding bootcamp. Liliana Monage, co-founder and CEO of Sabio, created the scholarship in honor of Jill H. Mays, her host mother while she participated in a program designed to help economically disadvantaged teenagers. The scholarship is designed to spread Mays’s message of autonomy and career exploration to women in Sabio’s program.
In March of 2018, Wyncode announced the launch of its 1.4-million-dollar scholarship program for women. The Miami-based coding academy designed their scholarship to encourage women to participate in their programming, full stack, front end, UX/UI design, and digital marketing courses. The tech industry in Miami is vibrant and diverse, and Wyncode wants to do its part to contribute to it. The Wyncode scholarship offers women $1,000 off tuition costs.
We Can Code IT Scholarship
In 2017, We Can Code IT partnered with a massive $100-million-dollar #YesWeCan women’s scholarship fund. Their scholarship program offers $1,000 off tuition to minority women who want to pursue a career in technology. The We Can Code IT scholarship is definitely worth applying for if you qualify.
In addition to active military members, Thinkful offers several scholarships to women with an interest in technology. Women enrolled in their full-time courses can receive a monthly deduction of up to $300. They also offer a $100 per month tuition reduction scholarship to women attending their part-time, flexible program. The Software Guild Scholarship
The Software Guild offers an exemplary $2,000 scholarship to women enrolled in their full-time coding programs. Lesbians Who Tech/Edie Windsor Coding Scholarship
The namesake of this coding scholarship, Edie Windsor, is a former IBM computer programmer who played a pivotal role in the LGBTQ movement in technology. This scholarship fund offers a 50% tuition cut for women in the LGBTQ community. In addition to a massive tuition reduction, the foundation also provides job resources and a network of mentors for LGBTQ women in coding.
